WhoAmI
Hi, my name is Louka Jacques-Chevallier. I’ve been part of the Offensive Security Field since 2019 (mostly consulting & pentest), and recently decided to have my main work be a 3/4 time within the ManoMano Security Team (love these guys!).
I made this choice to spare some free time to:
- Spend a lot of time on personal R&D (0day Research & Tooling)
- Allocate more time on conferences (both Attendee and Speaker)
- Create and give Security Trainings & Formations
- Run Pentests to keep the same offensive mindset, and contribute to Cleaner & Smaller Companies
Why
From my experience, companies that can afford security pentests and invest money to secure themselves are… Not always the ones that need it the most, nor the one that contribute the most to “a better world”. This is why it really matters to me to spend time on small businesses & institutions to help them maintain a clean state, even at their scale.
I also think that security issues take birth where the lack of knowledge resides, therefore I really want to help companies acquire insights on their “security state”, including exposure, choices of technologies, processes to keep their codebase & infrastructure as clean & sane as possible.
A decent security state just cannot be reached only through frequent pentests, it is really necessary to bring knowledge to the employees, to setup the right tooling to prevent bad practices, and ensure everyone does the right things for the right reasons!
